After School Program (ASP)
The Spryfield site offers after-school programs for children currently enrolled in grades pre-primary to 5. Children can participate in and experience a wide range of activities, including recreation, physical activity, cooking, arts & crafts, reading, and leadership programs.
This site currently serves children attending Central Spryfield, *Chebucto, *John W. MacLeod, *E. Sutherland* Elementary schools and Cunard Jr. High (grade 5 & 6 only).
*Not transported by the Club. It is the responsibility of the parents or guardians to arrange for transportation to the Club site for their children.
Hours of operation: Dismissal – 6 pm
Cost: $230.00 per month/per child
Members must be a minimum of 4 yrs. of age by December 31st, in the current term, and enrolled in grade pre-primary.Â
In-service, Winter break, and March Break* day camps
The Spryfield site offers programming to registered members currently enrolled in grades primary to 5 according to the Halifax Regional Centre for Education calendar. Registered members will participate in a variety of activities, based on a theme for each in-service day. Â
Hours of operation: 8:00 am – 5:30 pm (children must arrive by 9 am)
Cost:$40.00 per in-service day, per child
*March break day camp is offered by the week only and costs $200.00 per child.
Please note: Day camps are optional and not included in any other BGCGH program. Participants do not have to be registered in any other BGCGH program or activity to register for day camps.Â
SUMMER DAY CAMPS 2026
Children must be 5 to 12 years old. Participants must be at least 5 years old by December 31, 2025, and completing grade primary by June 30, 2026, to be eligible to register for summer day camps.
BGCGH is dedicated to getting kids outdoors, learning new skills, and trying new things. Our Summer program consists of structured and unstructured activities with physical activity, crafts, games, day trips to local attractions, and team builders. We are committed to creating lifelong relationships among members and families. Summer day camp provides supervision and activities in a safe, supportive environment. Do you only need a week or two of day camp? No problem! Parents have the convenience of registering by the week. Simply choose the weeks you would like your child to attend!
COST – $200.00/week/child
