Great Futures Start Here
The Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Halifax offers a diverse and dynamic range of programs that serve children and youth from a broad spectrum of backgrounds and neighbourhoods. We help more than 3,700 kids annually. We provide safe, supportive spaces where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships, and develop confidence and skills for life. At the Boys and Girls Club, every kid is a kid of privilege.
We serve six diverse communities at six club sites:
- Cole Harbour
- Dartmouth North
- East Dartmouth
- Humber Park Elementary
Our charity provides a safe and supportive environment where children and youth can:
- Experience new opportunities
- Build positive relationships
- Develop confidence and skills for life
The Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Halifax officially opened its doors on April 1st, 2013. Our organization is the result of a merger of previously independently-run Boys and Girls Clubs in the Dartmouth, Sackville, Spryfield, and Cole Harbour communities. These sites boast a combined total of more than 100 years of service within their respective neighbourhoods!
